Title: Summer Guide & Shuttle Driver
Reports to: Operations Manager
Pay Range: Paid per trip
Seasonal Position: May 1st-October 1st

General Responsibilities:
This role is designed to be fun, engaging, and deeply fulfilling. A guide’s unique personality is their greatest asset and a key part of our success. Our guides and drivers are expected to be friendly, professional, considerate, and knowledgeable about the areas in which they operate. As a guide, you will lead a variety of tours, including scenic driving tours through Glacier National Park, where you’ll showcase the park’s incredible beauty and natural treasures to guests. As an active guide, you’ll also lead trips featuring activities such as biking, hiking, and paddling throughout the Flathead Valley A genuine passion for Glacier National Park and the surrounding region is essential. As a tour guide and driver, you serve as a personal concierge to our guests—creating memorable experiences, building meaningful connections, and inspiring return visits
and positive reviews. Whitefish Outfitters prioritizes safety so operating and acting with safety as a priority is crucial.

Summer Guide and Shuttle Driver:
  • Familiarity or ability to learn Peek Pro reservation system and download app onto phones.
  • Familiarity or ability to learn Garmin devices, or other satellite communications.
  • Maintaining the safety of guests while driving our vehicles is the most important task.
  • Flexible and last-minute availability; many of our reservations occur 48 hours in advance.
  • Guides are responsible for communicating all issues, complaints, injuries or other out of the ordinary circumstances to Operations Manager, the day of the occurrence.
  • Are responsible for the vehicle: cleaning the inside and outside of it, following all tours.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Personal requirements:
  • Wilderness First Aid is for all active guides
  • Ability to get DOT medical card
  • Be outgoing, engaging, energetic, and enthusiastic.
  • Self-starter who can lead by example.
  • Must have excellent people and communication skills.
  • Present a clean-cut image with guests.
  • Adaptable to change.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and be over the age of 21 to drive shuttles.
